early 20th century, comprising: two examples with dragons amongst auspicious symbols on purple fabric, one with gilt metal button closures, the other knots, each with blue silk lining; a hand embroidered example depicting gilt dragons amongst auspicious symbols, gilt metal button closures on a purple fabric, blue silk lining; an example with ribbons and embroidered butterfly and foliate decoration, gilt metal button closures on purple fabric, black lining; a collared example with cut blue velvet shou characters, above manji symbols, single knot closure, all on blue fabric, blue silk lining; lavender example with teal flowers and ribbon collar, cuffs and hem, no lining; black example having dragon, butterfly and floral decoration, blue silk lining; largest 54 x 87 in.
