18th/19th century, comprising: two tea cups with handles, each with gilt rim and underglaze design of seaside city scenes, larger 2-5/8 x 3-5/8 in.; two saucers with blue willow design and gilt rims, larger 1-1/4 x 5 in. diameter;  tea cup with petal form rim, in underglaze design of seaside city scene, gilt accents on rim, interior, and base, 2-1/8 x 3-3/8 in. diameter; tea cup with gilt rim, underglaze design of seaside city scene, interior diapering, 1-3/4 x 3 in. diameter; tea cup with handle, underglaze design of courtyard scene with foliage, 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 in.

Condition

anomalies, pinholes, loss to gilt, and surface accretion; both tea cups with handles with chips to rims, hairlines from rim; one saucer with hairline to base, one with crack and repairs (see blacklight); gilt rim example with hairline from rim; handle example with extensive pinholes, glaze voids, chips to rim

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
