Tooled Leather Upholstered Side Chairs British, second quarter 19th century, each with curved tablet back over reeded and leaf-carved stiles, probably original tooled leather upholstered seats set with brass tacks, turned and reeded legs, 34-1/2 x 20 x 29 in., minor repairs at one crest rail attachment and one crack, wear, distress and some tears and losses to leather, seats with later plank supports at undersides, otherwise generally good condition with minor surface wear and finish losses, slight color variation. Provenance: Property of Ronald and Cheryl Howard sold to benefit the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association
