British, 19th century, two arm and six side, each with spiral turned crest, part ebonized frames with striped silk upholstered slip seats, one armchair a later copy made to match, armchair height 33-1/2 in., seat height 19 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, West Point, Georgia several breaks and repairs at joints of crest rails and splats to rear stiles, period armchair with breaks and repairs at front leg attachments, other typical wear and abrasions, chairs seem structurally sound and ready for use, modern upholstery in good condition
