Japanese, early sword signed underneath handle "Chikuzen Kosaki ju Akifusa", period Muromachi, year Tenmon 1532, ray fish skin handle, gilt menuki, cloth wrapped handle, gilt tsuba and Kozuka, lacquered scabbard, 29-3/4 in.
Notes: The Kozuka is the handle for a small utility knife.
