Marquetry-Inlaid Center Table, Pair Side Chairs
German or Swiss, late 19th century, center table with tilting top, central marquetry and penwork panel depicting an eagle in flight over three mountain goats, double band floral and grape leaf inlay, single dovetailed drawer, pedestal base, walnut and other mixed woods, 30-1/2 x 25-1/2 in., repairs to tilting mechanism, replaced hinges, minor cracks at support; together with pair side chairs with similar marquetry motifs and finely carved backs, 36-1/2 in., one with losses to marquetry on seat, other scattered veneer chips at seat edges, color variation and finish losses .
