English, 19th century, fitted traveling case with inlaid mother-of-pearl in top and in escutcheon, multi-compartment interior with tooled leather covers, covered jars and bottles, drawer below with three compartments with rose floral silk lining, 7 x 1-3/4 x 8-7/8 in., minor flaws and cracks to veneered surface, veneer loss to edge of drawer, chrome-plated covers with surface losses and some wear to leather; lap desk with inset brass plaque on cover, campaign style hardware, inset tooled black leather writing surface, interior compartments with pen holder, brass escutcheon, 6 x 13-1/2 x 9 in., lacking inkwell, crack to veneer at top, cracking and scratches to leather writing surface.
