late 19th/early 20th century, made in Germany for the American or British market, bonnet with arched crest centered by a mythological mask and carved rosettes, acanthus decoration, cartouche form door with beveled glass, brass dial with foliate spandrels and painted moon phase, brass movement, superstructure fitted with hammer mechanism and seven chimes, case with shaped beveled glass door flanked by scrolled foliate carved stiles, bombe lower case with carved mythological mask and acanthus, shaped vase with hairy paw feet, brass pendulum, includes weights,102 x 31 x 19 in.

Condition
bonnet and case are structurally sound, case with scattered small losses to carvings, fabric lining in bonnet and back of case are later with some punctures, no back boards other than framing, painted moon phase with minor losses, rear with later base board, scattered surface wear and general imperfections from age and use, clock components functionality not tested, lacking two chimes (seven out of nine are present)
