19th century, inverted "Y" frame, engraved and silvered brass dial with gilt rope twist bezel, vertical stacked train wheels driven by two brass weights on sides of the clock, signed at base of frame, "Valogne a Paris", mounted to a faux marble black base with gilt metal bun feet, round wood stand with fitted glass dome, with brass pendulum and key, accompanied by letter dated April 8, 1986 to Derek Roberts Antiques, Kent, UK with shipping instructions and a canceled check for 8,050 pounds to Derek Roberts Antique, 18 in.; 25 in. overall; Provenance: Derek Roberts Antiques, Kent, United Kingdom; Estate of Mr. and Mrs. David Astor Dowdy, Jr.
