Edgefield District, South Carolina, likely circa 1845, olive green alkaline glaze, tapered ovoid form, applied curved iron slip band decoration around the entire shoulder of the jar, applied looping kaolin slip decoration over the iron bands, hanging lower under the applied arched angled lug handles, short curved neck with semi round rim, lid ledge in interior, likely 5 gallons, 16-1/2 in.
