probably Maryland or Virginia, circa 1760-1790, with blind fretwork pediment over figured mahogany paneled doors, adjustable shelved interior over two candle slides flanked by applied fretwork, fitted desk interior over four long drawers, dovetailed construction with yellow pine and poplar secondary, original ogee bracket feet, 88-1/2 x 43-1/2 x 24 in.

good structural condition overall, brasses replaced, loss to fallboard at one side molding, scattered losses and repairs to blind fretwork, particularly at mid molding, checking and warping to upper doors, minor repaired crack at lower edge of fallboard and strip patch at fallboard, other scattered cracks, wear and minor repairs
