London, 1708, octagonal domed base, knopped stem, scroll with matching snuffer, both with cross crest, marker "CO" with crown, marks for Matthew Cooper, 10.47 oz. T., stand 5 in.; snuffer 6 in.
Note: While receipts were not retained, this lot and the other early silver in the sale was purchased by the Barrows almost exclusively though S. J. Shrubsole in New York.
