Walnut Tall Case Clock the dial signed Edward Duffield (1720-1801), Philadelphia, circa 1770, the arched silvered dial with date aperture and seconds hand, eight-day brass works, the figured walnut case with broken-arch pediment set with rosettes, turned finials on fluted plinths, with period pendulum, two weights and winder present, 100 in.. Condition: refinished, saddle board replaced (works probably a good match to case), hinges replaced, bottom board base molding and foot pads replaced. Provenance: From the Collection of Dr. J. C.
