probably Roanoke River basin, 1760-1790, walnut throughout, generously overhanging rectangular top with rounded corners, on a conforming frame with turned legs and pad feet raised on turned wafers, 27-3/4 x 20-1/2 x 32 in. - Note: For a closely related table, see John Bivins Jr., The Furniture of Coastal North Carolina 1700-1820, pg. 356. - Provenance: purchased from Milly McGehee, November 1997; Private Collection
good overall, top with central crack and associated repair, minor edge cracks with one shallow patch, top with some later color to perimeter of underside (clearly an original top), very slight checking and wear to feet (no repairs found)
