Boston, mid 18th century, highly figured walnut top with molded edge, above five dovetailed drawers, central drawer with recessed trompe l'oeil gilt shell, shaped and recessed skirt, cabriole legs and pad feet, scrolled knee returns and scalloped side aprons, 29-1/2 x 33-1/2 x 20-1/2 in.

very good condition, appears to retain original brasses, two very small patches at one rear toe, lamination at one rear knee (possibly as made), crack at other rear knee, typical shrinkage cracks with some repairs, one knee return restored, probably original skirt drops, trompe l'oeil painting in good condition overall with typical wear and abrasions (see detailed photos)
