Case Clock attributed to Salem, North Carolina, 1790-1810, the arched hood set with original turned urn-form finials, the waisted case in two sections, upper section with inlaid kite escutcheon and a pendulum window, box-form base set on original bracket feet, arched painted dial with moon phase, seconds hand and calendar ring, backplate signed "Nolan & Curtis Boston", eight-day brass movement, 103 x 21-1/2 x 10-1/2 in. restorations to dial with consolidated craquelure and scattered retouch, works and case possibly associated, works lacking some elements, not in working order, (period thick walnut saddleboard but with some disparity between holes in saddleboard and uprights, and one upright adjusted); repaired splinter at bottom right corner or case.
