Great Yarmouth/Norwich, circa 1784-1792, finely engraved horn cup in decoration of an armorial with a rising sun and then quartered with animals representing different continents, inscribed "Be Ye Wise As Serpents/And Harmless As Doves/Love Ye The Stranger/Nat. Spilman/South(?) Sea(?) Yarmouth/The Society of Universal Goodwill", the reverse decorated in figural library scene, silver band at base, 4-3/4 x 3-7/8 in.
