Mahogany Breakfast Table
South Carolina, 1770-1780, breakfast or Pembroke table, shaped top and leaves with highly figured veneers, single dovetailed drawer, yellow pine and ash secondary, molded square legs set with original brass casters and replaced pierced cross-stretchers, 29-1/4 x 20-1/2 x 27-1/2 in., opens to 37-1/2 in., stretchers replaced in original mortise holes, brass drawer pull replaced, scattered veneer patches and repairs including two patches to top, other veneer checking, underside of top with checking and some later stain, some surface fading, other scattered cracks and flaws.
