Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1720, ebonized and Japanned case, the upper section with map drawer over six drawers, lower case with three drawers, trumpet turned legs, scrolled stretchers, 67-1/4 x 40 x 22-1/2 in.Note: Boston Japanned high chests rank among the rarest examples of early American furniture.
