Oak and Turned Maple Two-Drawer Blanket Chest
possibly Boston area, circa 1680, lift top with open interior over two side-hung long drawers, turned and applied bosses, turned feet, paneled back, original feet, 44 in.. Notes: Sotheby's sale catalog notes that "This joined chest relates to a group of four chests possibly made in Boston; one is in the Mabel Brady Garvin Collection at Yale University, two others are at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and another in a private collection"..
