New England, 18th century, the back with shaped crest rail flanked by scrolled volutes over a vasiform splat, the frame set with six cabriole legs and pad feet, square legs at back, block-and-turned stretchers, traces of early surface, 37-1/2 x 66 x 24-1/2 in.. Condition: good condition overall, scattered pest damage with associated patch and repair at one front foot and minor loss at one rear foot, two medial supports replaced, other minor surface wear and flaws consistent with age and use.
