Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1780, with painted and silvered brass dial inscribed "Highwater at Boston, North America", seven tunes, seconds sweep, date indicator, set in an early "Roxbury" mahogany case with pierced fretwork and brass finials, over blind fretwork frieze, with three weights and pendulum, 103-1/2 x 23 x 10-1/2 in.

fretwork finials and waist door restored, portion of bezel (framing around dial) restored, wooden shaft of pendulum broken at attachment to bob, original feet, minor bumps and cracks at lower corners and lower base molding, case uprights extended and with later bracing (works and case appear to be a good match)
