Attributed to Pennsylvania, possibly Mahantongo area, late 18th century,˜ white pine throughout, original iron lock, escutcheon, and hinges, interior with lidded till and single dovetailed drawer with painted facing, floral punch work decoration, carved and paint decorated facade with creatures, flowers, and carved initials "BR" and "MR?" (partially obscured by escutcheon), probably original surface, original bracket feet, 17 x 30 x 14 in.Provenance: Private Collection, Richmond, Virginia
good structural condition with wear to molding and bases, old repair to one hinge, minor patch at back (possibly as made), wear and abrasions to painted surface overall
