British, 18th century in part, desk with fall board opening to a fitted interior over single long drawer, set on a later conforming frame with shell-carved skirt and pad feet, rich brown color throughout, 37-3/4 x 30-1/2 x 19-1/2 in., stand of a later date, minor separation at fall board, brasses replaced, veneer patches on both sides of top, one rear leg joint slightly loose, typical scattered surface wear, abrasions, veneer cracks and repairs.
