British, 18th century, figured mahogany back rail with scrolled carvings, solid vasiform splats, pad feet, the front leg with bellflower and C-scroll carved knee, upholstered slip seat, 30-1/2 in. crack at one splat, break and repair at front leg with patch to one side of foot, laminations at other three feet (likely as made), otherwise generally good condition with scattered surface wear and abrasions
