British, 18th century, brass and silvered dial signed "Jonathan March/London", eight day brass movement, seconds sweep, and date aperture, crown and putti spandrels, set in fine Japanned oak case with sarcophagus top, waisted case with arched door, period pendulum and two weights, 98 x 20-1/2 x 10 in.
Provenance: From a Private Collection Assembled in Spain and Britain from the 1960s through the 1980s

saddle board replaced (case and dial possibly associated), dial resurfaced, finials and plinths replaced, some rebuilding at top of sarcophagus, restorations to base including base molding and upper section of base panel, other typical distress and restorations to Japanning
