Marble-Top Commode
French, 18th century elements with restorations, variegated serpentine marble top, well-carved case with two paneled doors set with elaborate steel escutcheons, carved skirt and scrolled feet, 40 x 63 x 23 in.. Condition: probably original heavy marble top with cracks and repairs, scattered pest damage with some associated repairs including some replaced backboards, other rebuilding and repairs, surface wear, chips to carving and other scattered flaws.
