American, 1907-1947, round with floral and scroll border, marks for Tiffany & Co., "11916", heraldic device and inscribed "Richard L. Maury/1840-1907/Susan E. Maury/1841-1911/To our Dear Niece/Alice/In Token of Loving Remembrance", 38.15 oz. T., 14 in., light scratches and wear to floor. Notes: Lt. Col Richard L. Maury served under Col. Jubal A. Early in the Virginia 24th Infantry Regiment of the Confederate States Army. He participated in numerous engagements including the battles of Gettysburg, Seven Pines, Fredericksburg and numerous others. After the war he practiced law in Richmond, Virginia..
