Janeway, 1734, bound in contemporary full tree calf with red morocco spine label with decorative border gilt edge and inner gilt dentelles, with marbled endpapers, title in red and black and with full-page black and white illustrations, a nice copy of this work which has been attributed to Defoe, but which attribution is disputed, Provenance: Collection from an Important American Family

front board detached, rear board tender but holding, some wear at extremities, otherwise very good condition; pages with some foxing, toning, page 390 has a repaired margin, index page has repaired margins; errors in pagination appear to be typical of this book, the following errors in this copy are: page 176 ends and jumps to page 187 (and continues in sequence), page 194 ends and jumps down to page 185 (and continues in sequence), page 235 ends and jumps down to page 226 (and continues in sequence), page 323 ends and jumps to page 326, pages 326 and 327 are numbered twice (back to back)
Purchased items not picked up in Richmond by noon on Sunday will then be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
