Baily: 'The old clock which belonged to my grandfather Thomas Loyd, and which stood at the head of the stairs at 1309 Filbert Street for over 60 years is to this day set up in my house. central finial replaced (broken off stem, loose but present), probably original pediment off but present, minor chip at one molding, original saddleboard, case uprights with later shims (dial and case appear to be a good match), original feet with some regluing and repairs, dial with generally even crackle, some surface losses at maps and numbers, extensive flaking to moon dial
