possibly a Malayer, early to mid-20th century, central panel with repeating rows of boteh on a cobalt field, each with animal figure, two of the minor borders on yellow ground, bright colors with salmon, green, ivory, and red highlights, 9 ft. 3 in. x 19 ft. 9 in. generally low pile with areas of corduroy effect and small threadbare spots mostly in an area approximately 12 in. x 12 in. at one edge, abrash, corrosion, spot staining, multiple repairs and patches the largest approximately 3 in. x 6 in. near one end, areas of fabric backing verso, selvedge breaks and losses, up, to 2 in. of end loss, reduced in length approx. 7 ft. from one end.
