Philadelphia area, late 18th century, figured walnut with old, dry surface, dovetailed drawers with original brass pulls, yellow pine and white cedar secondary, conforming frame with deeply scrolled skirt, boldly shaped trifid feet, 67 x 42-1/2 x 24-1/2 in.Provenance: A Virginia Institution
excellent condition overall, probably original brasses, original frame in good repair, old dry surface, minor pest damage at rear rail, three knee returns replaced, minor repairs and distress at bed molding, other typical minor flaws
