Note: Boots Mallory was a film actress and dancer. She joined the Ziegfeld Follies in 1931. After moving to Hollywood, she starred in mostly B-grade films after the devastating premiere of "Hello Sister!". In 1933 she married James Cagney's brother, William, and in 1937 married actor Herbert Marshall. A striking beauty, she was photographed by George Hurrell and painted by the pin-up artist Rolf Armstrong. She died in 1958 at the age of 45.
