Drying Codfish-Portugal, signed lower right "Paul Ashbrook" with remnant of original artist's label verso canvas with title, oil on canvas, 24-1/8 x 30-1/4 in.; original gilt wood frame with glass, original stretcher and tacking edge; frame with abrasions. Notes: Exhibited: Possibly exhibited at the Springfield Museum of Art, Springfield, Ohio (on partial label verso). Provenance: Former backing when removed revealed a printed program from the graduating class of 1952-1953, Woodward High School, Cincinnati, Ohio. It is inscribed with a note indicating the painting was a donation.
