20th century, carved wood mask with pointed protrusion under nose and boar's tusks on either side, mother of pearl ringed eyes and applied cowry shell and clay medallions to face, mounted cowry shells in clay encircle the wood mask with outer border of fiber, leather strap at top for hanging, 30 x 12 in. - Provenance: Mathias Komor, New York, purchased 1960s; Private North Carolina Collection
