Holding Babies, Covered Vase Chinese, 20th century: pair of standing figures of Quanyin with elaborate robes and holding babies, bases stamped "Made in China", 5-1/4 in., well-carved hardwood stands en suite, 1-1/8 in., both with break and repair to head at neck, one with break and repair to base of gown verso, minor flakes to base rim, the other with crack and repair to edge of gown verso, nicks and internal fractures to base, one stand with break and loss to one leg and traces of glue residue to seat and loss to finish of top; double-gourd form rock crystal covered vase encased in vines and fruit, circular pedestal base, 4-3/8 in., small piece of lid broken off but present, carved and reticulated circular hardwood stand, chips and fractures to removable finial, body with chips and internal fractures to leaves surrounding central vase .
