Chinese, marks of Jiaqing and of the period, exteriors with ruby tinted enamels, interiors with formal floral design in under glaze blue, Jiaqing mark on the base of bowls and the top of lids, one piece labeled “The Liddell Collection 189 pr.”, 3-1/2 in. x 4-1/2 in.. Notes: Captain Charles Oswald Liddell, lived in China between the years 1877-1913, and amassed a significant collection of Chinese porcelains. In 1929, Bluett and Sons of London, exhibited the collection, and these two tea bowls are noted as lot number 189, pr. The catalog is now in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum..
