German, early 19th century, each with gilt filigree metal mount around base, both with underglaze blue painted crossed swords, winter/spring incised number "1239", summer/fall incised number "1236", 10-1/4 in.. Provenance: Estate of Katherine Tegzes, Lenoir City, Tennessee
"spring" basket and part of ribbons missing, drapery on thigh repaired; "winter" some tree leaves missing and others chipped; "summer" grape leaves in hand are missing or damaged, "fall" with replaced scythe, wheat stalks damaged, drapery behind figure repaired; possible additional repairs are not visible by blacklighting
