Continental, late 19th/early 20th century, possibly carved marble, depicting finely detailed monkeys sitting on ornately carved plinths depicting snakes, birds, flowers and other natural elements, one monkey wearing a hat forming a pedestal, the other with a carved carrying basket forming a pedestal, each 38 x 17 in.
