Notes: The Pierreponts were the most important family in Brooklyn Heights in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The family mansion, built by Henry Pierrepont and located at One Pierrepont Place in Brooklyn Heights, became the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Low Pierrepont. Mrs. Pierrepont purchased much of her Asian ceramic collection from Gump’s in San Francisco and from C.T. Loo in New York City. The items listed here descended in the family.
