Jardinières with Underplates, High Wood Stands
Chinese for export, late 19th/early 20th century, both polychrome painted with parade of costumed riders seated on white horses and waving large flags with attendants walking along, mountains in the background, the underplates with pink rosettes, supported on carved wood stands, each with five scrolled legs joined with ring-shaped stretchers, no marks, jardinières 13-1/4 in., underplates 14-3/4 in. diameter, wood stands 11-1/2 in.,. Condition: water damage in center of underplates and in bottom of jardinières, one underplate with small rim chip, wood stands are sun-bleached and water-stained.
