Mr. Doolittle and Miss Manwell, from Wallingford, Connecticut, unsigned, each bust length profile ink and watercolor on paper, with name of sitter inscribed beneath image recto, sight (him) 5 x 4 in.; (her) 6 x 4-1/2 in.; in matching wood frames with eglomise mats, 9-1/2 x 8 in.

Note: Titus Doolittle was born in 1749 in Wallingford CT., died 1837 in North Haven. Note inscribed verso (him) listing names, places, persons in New York to get joiners' saws, and chisels from "William Hiers, in Smith Street and John B. Dash, Broadway,1780-1790".
