(Spanish, 1881-1973) Claude, 1950, edition of 2000, from [Picasso Lithographe II], printed by Mourlot, published by Editions du Livre Andre Sauret, Monte Carlo, lithograph on paper, 12-5/8 x 11-1/8 in.; unframed, original paper mat, light toning, paper tape verso edge. Notes: This portrait of Picasso's son Claude was made with fingerprints with ink on transfer paper transferred to stone. It is unusual that it retains the left portion of image. This print, as others sold by Brunk Auctions March 13-14, 2015 (see lot 241 of another Picasso from the same collection), were likely purchased in Paris from R. G. Michel in the early 1950s..
