late 19th/early 20th century, fully beaded, on commercial hide with snap closure, traditional geometric decoration, 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 in.; containing a Hard Times Token inside, HT-81, dated 1837.

very good condition overall, no apparent bead loss; token probably shellacked, wear commensurate with age
