Swiss, 19th century, works stamped "Nicole Freres A Geneve" and "36724", single cylinder and comb, mounted in inlaid wood case, hinged lid with label underside "8 Airs/Gamme No. 1558/.../No. 36724/Fabrique de Nicole Freres", removable wood framed glass panel, hinged side panel opening to winding mechanism, with winder key, 5 x 20-1/4 x 6-7/8 in.

interior glass with some surface dirt and accretion, some staining to plaque at lid underside, case with some scratches and light wear, in partial working order at time of inspection (ruby has been realigned since box was photographed, box plays but fan periodically stops spinning while playing - box may need further adjustment and/or repairs in order to play consistently)
