dial inscribed "William Hudson, Mount Holly", Mount Holly, New Jersey, circa 1775, engraved arched brass dial with applied spandrels, moon phase, seconds sweep, and date aperture, eight day brass movement, case with broken arch pediment with carved rosettes and turned finials, waisted case with mellow old surface, shaped door flanked by fluted quarter columns, paneled base with ogee bracket feet, finely figured and bookmatched base panel, two weights, winder, and pendulum present, 94-1/2 x 21-1/2 x 11 in.

losses to silvering on dial and to some blacking at numbers, case in old dry varnish, lacking catch for door, minor warping to waist door, shrinkage separation at base panel, original feet with bumps and wear, chip at one knee and loss at front of one foot pad
