probably Boston, Massachusetts, early 19th century, old and dry surface, in three pieces, checkered and line inlay, ivory kite escutcheons, shaped apron, turned round tapered legs, white pine secondary, 92 x 39 x 21 in.

Exhibition: Per Peter Eaton receipt, this secretary was exhibited at the Worcester Art Museum in 1929 in an exhibition of American 18th century art. That could possibly refer to an exhibition titled "Exhibition of American 18th Century Art Owned in and Near Worcester", March 10-31, 1929.
