New York, circa 1815, the underside of top with early label "J. Ring, Practical Cabinet Maker & Upholsterer...", with scrolled backsplash over a D shaped top set with two small drawers, scrolled and leaf carved supports, concave lower shelf above a conforming long drawer, set on lion's paw feet, dovetailed drawers with poplar secondary, 39 x 31 x 19 in. - Provenance: Private Collection, South Carolina
very good overall, backsplash is removable, possible patch at one front toe (possibly as made), possibly original brass pulls
