Chinese, probably late 19th/early 20th century,ÿbottle form vases with cylindrical neck and ring foot, each depicting a dragon encircling the form, with geometric and floral decoration to rim and foot, on red enamel ground, turquoise blue enameled interior, tallest 13-1/2 in.; accompanied by invoice dated February 23, 1995 for purchase amount of $2,000, Provenance: Estate of Judge and Mrs. Charles Neese, Greeneville, Tennessee; By Descent to Dr. Rhonda Davis Poirier, New York, New York and Jacksonville, Florida
one with two parallel hairline cracks along neck with red enamel discoloration, both with faint seams running from rim to foot (likely as made), scattered areas of enamel loss, glaze voids to enameled interior, wear to bases, other hairlines and minor surface wear consistent with age and use
Condition
Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser’s risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
Items purchased from our Asheville auction facility not picked up within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item.
