18th or 19th century, carved and gilt wood and composition, elaborately decorated with wreath-form top, bellflower garlands and central urns, 44 x 17-1/2 and 43 x 17-1/2 in.. Condition: both with extensive cracks and scattered losses to ornament, variation in ornament throughout (likely two different periods), paint retouch and regilding, distress to mirror plates.
